Construction activity for the week included;
• Bulk earthworks at Powerlink substation bench key
activity this week
• Crushing plant established to allow use of excavated rock as roadbase or compacted fill
• Water stand (extraction point) in use allowing for increased dust suppression
• Site Entry Road (from base of hill to top) earthworks continues
• Continuation of earthworks for turbine access roads; approximately 25% of clearance works complete. Work fronts WTG 45-48, WTG 6-9 and WTG 25
• Hardstand and foundation excavation
• Field survey work continues for UXO, Cultural Heritage and Environmental aspects prior to vegetation clearance in new areas
• 33 pieces of heavy equipment on-site. Personnel totalled 55.MEWF Weekly Update 7th June
